Summarization

Convert lengthy text, meeting transcripts, and recordings into organized, shareable outputs. Choose the level of detail—TL;DR, executive brief, detailed notes, or action items—based on the audience and purpose. Built to connect with transcription and diarization workflows, summarization helps teams capture decisions, track tasks, and reduce time spent rewriting or reformatting notes.

Key Features

  • Multiple summary modes: TL;DR, executive brief, meeting notes, action list, or detailed outline.
  • Focus controls: Summarize for decisions, learning, follow-ups, or stakeholder updates.
  • Works with transcripts: Ideal companion to speech-to-text and diarization outputs.
  • Team-shareable formatting: Clean structure designed for internal sharing and documentation.

What you'll create

Teams following up on meetings

Turn a meeting transcript into the decisions and action items your team needs, without rewriting notes by hand.

Managers writing stakeholder updates

Condense a long report into a TL;DR or an executive brief for readers who only need the outcome.

Students and researchers

Reduce long articles into detailed notes or an outline focused on what you are trying to learn.

Anyone reviewing long conversations

Summarize interviews and calls after they have been transcribed, so the key points are easy to find and share.

How it will work

  1. 1

    Bring your text or transcript

Start from long text or a meeting transcript. The tool is being built to connect with SmileToAI's transcription and speaker diarization workflows.

  2. 2

Choose a mode and a focus

Pick a TL;DR, an executive brief, meeting notes, an action list, or a detailed outline, and point it at decisions, learning, follow-ups, or stakeholder updates.

  3. 3

    Share a clean result

Summaries are planned to come back in a consistent structure that fits internal documents and team updates.

Frequently asked questions

What kinds of summaries will it produce?
Five modes are planned: TL;DR, executive brief, meeting notes, action list, and detailed outline. Each can be focused on decisions, learning, follow-ups, or stakeholder updates.
Will it work with meeting recordings?
It is designed as a companion to speech-to-text and speaker diarization. Transcribing a recording already works today with Speech to Text, which is live.
Can I summarize something today?
Yes, with Chat, which is live. Paste the text or attach a document and ask for a summary, key points, or action items. For a recording, transcribe it with Speech to Text first, then bring the transcript to Chat.
How will this differ from asking Chat for a summary?
Chat is open-ended, so you shape every answer with your own prompt. Summarization is planned as a dedicated tool with fixed modes and focus controls, so results come back in the same shape every time.
When will Summarization launch?
It's an upcoming tool we're actively building. We're not committing to a date yet. Check back here or follow us on X for launch news.
